We import species from Canada, Europe, South East Asia, USA and New Zealand whilst also holding agencies and procuring local species from Western Australia, Tasmania, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Ridgewood has a policy of only sourcing timber from countries and mills that practice sound and sustainable forestry practices.

American Black Walnut

Juglans Nigra

The sapwood is creamy white, heartwood is light brown to dark chocolate brown, occasionally with a purplish case and
darker streaks.

Walnut can be supplied steamed, to darker sapwood or left unsteamed. Generally straight grained, but sometimes has attractive wavy or curly grain.

Also known as Black Walnut, American Walnut.
